Tyr

“Is it true? Kalak Dead? Slaves Freed? Magic Wild in the streets? Doubtful, but we’ll know soon enough.” -Sahin, wandering hermit

The free city of Tyr as it’s known now, is currently the only free city in Athas. The Sorcerer-King Kalak ruled Tyr with an iron fist, until a massive uprising amongst the slaves. Rumor is that the gladiators slew their masters and assaulted the Palace, and Kalak’s own Templars turned against him. Whispers of the Veiled Alliance‘s influence has been sighted as the primary instigators of the rebellion. Kalak himself was rumored to be killed by a Mul Gladiator known only as Rikus wielding one of the mythical 9 Swords of Tyr. King Tithian Formerly Kalak’s high templar, betrayed his master and sided with the rebellion, though no one is entirely sure of the new King’s motives. For now, the city seems to be in a constant state of celebration, though one can only wonder how long it will be before one of Tyr’s neighbors seizes an opportunity for conquest.
